NAVADISHA

NAVADISHA, a supplementary education initiative of the SACHETA, is the flagship programme of the Trust. With the strong belief that education is the cornerstone of social change, SACHETA started its humble journey from Amtoli village in Gosaba Block of Sunderbans about two decades back. 

Till date, the NAVADISHA programme has nurtured more than 7000 marginalized students and caters through four study centers, spread across the island villages of Amtali, Kumirmari, Kora Kathi and Puinjali in Sunderbans. It focuses on students from the primary, secondary and higher secondary sections and brings in dynamic interventions through innovative pedagogy and a network of qualified teachers. 

With the support of patrons, SACHETA plans to replicate this template across other centers as well.
